Hello, I am Jennifer Hunt

Mommy to 2 vibrant girls * Champion of Women * Wife to a reluctant veggie eater * Registered Dietitian * Lover of good food

I help women with PCOS and Prediabetes address root cause hormonal imbalance, optimize their nutrition and eat with confidence.  Nutrition is my career, but YOU are my passion.

It’s an honor to work with smart, savvy women who are action-oriented, looking to learn and ready to grow.  I am passionate about helping you get results, address frustrating symptoms, learn about your body and develop life-giving habits that make you feel your best.

My clients lower health markers including A1c, cholesterol, triglycerides and liver enzymes, regain their period and menstrual regularity, improve their relationship with food and develop food and lifestyle habits that actually work for their body and life.

I am a dietitian that will educate you so you understand what is occurring in your body and give you tools to respond so you feel empowered in the driver’s seat of your health.

My clients who aren’t interested in medications or don’t want them to be the primary method of treatment are delighted to know that there are many nutrition, supplement and lifestyle therapies for PCOS and Prediabetes that are as effective as prescription drugs (without the side effects).

It’s time to unveil beautiful You.

My goal is that at the end of working with me you will be empowered with tools and confident in your ability to make food & nutrition decisions... so you don't need me anymore.

Nutrition Philosophy

Results-driven nutrition can be simple and delicious… and it begins in the kitchen.  That is where we start.  I believe in a whole foods approach, taking a few flavorful ingredients and making meals that you (and your family) enjoy.

You don’t have the time or energy for complicated meal plans and eating schedules, so I teach clients some specific, effective principles that can be applied at home or away, to make nourishing your body simple & delicious.

We don’t deprive, restrict or self-discipline our way into better nutrition because those strategies have been found to be ineffective long-term.

We do listen to our body, increase our awareness of its signals, seek to make nourishing choices that support energy & health and plan in advance when possible.  But we don’t stop there.  We go deeper…

My nutrition approach helps women look at 6 key pillars of health during our work together: food & nutrition, supplements, movement, sleep & rest, lifestyle & fun, and mindset.  All of these parts are important because hormones, blood glucose, and so many markers of health are impacted by the behaviors and choices in each of these pillars.

What Brings Me Joy

I am crazy in love with my family and am delighted to be a mom to two, not-so-little girls.  My girls (& my veggie reluctant husband) have taught me so many things about practical, everyday nutrition, and have made me more creative, effective & compassionate in my nutrition therapy approach.

When I am not working with clients you might find me creating and testing recipes in the kitchen or thinking up new ideas for the summer camp I run for elementary aged kids, Curious Kids Cooking & Food Science Camp.  Teaching cooking skills, ushering in fun and introducing science in the kitchen is always a highlight of my year.

Walking with friends, lifting heavy weights, learning about home design, traveling to new places and volunteering with my church bring me joy.  While I am a mosquito magnet in the summer, taking walks or hikes in nature, even if they are short, is one of my daily goals.  And depending on the season, you might find me playing kickball on a Sunday afternoon with my husband and a bunch of our friends, who also happen to be our neighbors.

It took many years after having my daughters to figure out what fun, rest, nourishing my body, and body confidence looked like and I am grateful for the compassionate growth.  It is an honor to walk with women, in all stages of life and health, towards a place of nourishment, confidence and freedom in her body.

~Jennifer
