Hi Friend!

It's normal to have questions when you are considering a healthcare provider that will help you address your concerns and make progress towards your goals.  Below are some of the most common questions about working together.

Please contact me if you have other questions that are not addressed.  Or you can set up a 15-minute call to start the process of working together.  This is not a sales call... it's the find-the-right-fit call.  I look forward to meeting you!

FAQs

Do you accept insurance?

No, however, all services can be paid for with an FSA or HSA card.  If your insurance company covers out-of-network nutrition services, Jennifer Hunt Nutrition can provide a superbill (medical receipt) for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

How often will we meet?

Follow-up sessions are usually conducted every 2 weeks when we first begin working together but can be extended to 3-4 weeks later in the process as the client builds confidence.

Where do the sessions take place?

All nutrition therapy sessions take place online using the Healthie platform.  Once you schedule a session, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to log in on your scheduled date and time.  It's easy and convenient.  Feel free to show up to sessions comfy and with your favorite beverage.

I don't have PCOS or Prediabetes.  Can we still work together?

Of course!  I am happy to work with clients who are interested in leveling up their nutrition, ready to take action, interested in learning about their body, or are interested in nutrition therapy for another condition.  Set up a 15-minute call to see if working together is a good fit for you.

I want to lose weight and gain muscle.  Can you help me with that?

Many women I work with have a desire to lose weight or have been told by their physician that weight loss is recommended.  I honor your desires and your ability to have autonomy in your health and nutrition.  My nutrition approach focuses on helping you uncover underlying causes of weight/fat gain like insulin resistance and put practices into place that support your body reaching a healthy weight for you.  Our work together focuses mostly on addressing behaviors that aren't serving you, identifying root causes, and helping you resolve symptoms that are impacting your health and body confidence.

I do not help clients lose a certain amount of weight or reach a specific size.  Weight is impacted by many factors including your microbiome, food choices, emotional health, stress, hormone imbalance, general activity, exercise, metabolic health, history of dieting, metabolic adaptations, and more.

For clients where weight loss may be supportive in improving insulin resistance or health, our attention is not on the number on the scale but instead on building lean body mass and improving metabolic health.

I am hesitant to make the investment.

I completely understand that making a large financial investment would cause you to pause.  Please know that I am 100% committed to my clients and their progress with their Nutrition Action Plan.  I absolutely believe that YOUR health, wellness, periods, symptoms, A1c, insulin sensitivity, and food confidence can be dramatically different 3 months from now.
